This company took advantage of my mother. She was repeatedly reassured before the move that the price quote included the hauling and disposal of unwanted furniture. On the day of the move, movers demanded we pay $300 extra dollars to remove three beds and refused to get rid of anything else. He claimed to not know anything about getting rid of furniture and that perhaps we "misunderstood" what we were told.
When we demanded to speak with our contact Patricia or the manager, Kevin (the mover) said that he couldn't do that. That he wasn't allowed to let us talk to the manager. Then he threatened to leave. Of course, on Memorial Day weekend, knowing that we had no recourse we settled on $250. The move that should have cost us only about $300 cost us almost $700! Not to mention that it took them almost an hour to get from one location to another when it should have only taken 30 minutes. Did I mention they broke a light at the place we were moving to?
My mother called to complain and speak with the manager on Tuesday and has yet to receive a call back from the manager. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
