This was the WORST experience I have EVER HAD!!!! I received a job offer in California and had to leave Georgia very quickly. I contacted several movers, but used CLS because of their good reviews. WOW, was I wrong!!! The guy on the phone made it seem like they owned their own trucks and were not brokers. THIS IS A LIE!!!! Your belongings will be placed on several trucks and will be damaged when you receive it. We had a small move, but our furniture was new and VERY NICE. Our sofa alone was $4,000 and I wanted to make sure our things arrived on time and not damaged! Here is the timeline on the experience:
1. Arranged move with Sam. Seemed like a nice guy, but he vanishes and is impossible to contact after the guys pick up your furniture.
2. Furniture was picked up by Adam and his crew. Most things were packed well, but major attitude was given when I asked them to wrap our $3,000 metal bed that we got from Room and Board. He said that metal would not scratch. If that is the case, why the hell does it have scratches all over it at our new place in California??? I inquired about the insurance after they packed the truck and was told that I had to buy it BEFORE it was packed. VERY SHADY!!!!! Adam even used profanity in front of my wife!!!! What a classless crew!!
3. I paid $550 extra to insure that our furniture would arrive between 7/2 and 7/5. It FINALLY arrived on 7/12, a week late. I am sure that I will never get my $550 back because I can never get a straight answer from anyone at that place!!!
4. They even called me this morning 7/13, saying that our stuff would be here on 7/15. They had no idea that our things had already been delivered!!!!! That just shows how incompetent they really are!!!!
Take my advice, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!!! The price was the lowest, but as usual in life, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THESE GUYS ARE NOT REPUTABLE!!!!
