We were promised that our 9000 lb. load would stay in the truck until delivery.
Instead, it was put in storage with the padding taken off some of our most fragile furniture. Heavy cast iron yard items were thrown on top of this unpadded delicate furniture causing breakage and or deep gouges. The movers did not want to reassemble our furniture or remove a door to bring our washer and dryer into the laundry room. The company does not want to pay for damages claiming that our furniture had scratches. The furniture that retained its padding was in good condition. Only the unpadded furniture with iron gates, etc. on top of it was severely damaged.
