What a MESS. Our move was canceled LAST minute--putting our family into a terrible position.
Budget Van Lines is a moving brokerage firm. They contract job orders to outside providers.
Budget Van Lines did not assign a company equipped to handle our CONTRACTED needs.
We have a baby grande piano and live in a high-rise building with strict moving policies. Despite written confirmation with assurances from our Budget Van Lines representative AND a CONTRACT stipulating our needs, the movers who arrived were unaware of our move requirements and building's policies.
Our entire schedule is now reeling into a chaotic cyclone. My husband is already in our destination state and I am alone with our two young sons...days before Christmas.
Due to my husband's job, we frequently relocate across state lines, so we are familiar with the moving process. The last few movers we used were through corporate accounts, otherwise we would have used the same companies from the last 7yrs of moves.
End of story: We are now spending thou$and$ MORE to hire a **last-minute** mover all due to Budget Van Line's mishandling of our work order and failure to provide contracted services.
