Furniture picked up on 02-01-2014 by driver and helper whom it was very difficult to understand their English. They spoke to each other in Russian or some other Eastern European language! They had difficulty finding room in the trailer for my furniture and boxes, constantly moving stuff inside trailer to make room and throwing boxes to one another.
They ran out of room inside the trailer and loaded my electric scooter, sofa, and chest of drawers on a rack behind the trailer.
On 02-24-2014 my belongings were finally delivered to me in Florida. Again the driver spoke broken English, but fortunately he had to young local helpers who spoke perfect English. As they were bringing my couch into my apartment one of the helpers told me that the frame of my couch was broken. Evidently somewhere in its journey from Kansas to New York city then to Florida it was dropped. I noticed later that my 2-drawer file cabinet has also apparently been dropped and a large dent in top drawer preventing it from closing properly. My packing boxes were all crushed from being stacked on one another and some were ripped open partially.
These boxes also were apparently thrown about as I had several broken glasses and plates, even though they were padded and packed properly.
They only good experience on this night mare of a move were the two young local mover helpers who were very friendly, helpful, courteous, and spoke perfect English. Also the final bill was a little cheaper than my estimate, but mostly due to fewer items shipped than originally quoted.
Be ware when using Budget, because not only do you get a budget price, you get budget service, long, long delivery time and damaged belongings.....
