Promised an Honest to Goodness Moving Van, ended up with 2 men and a boy that English was a second language and had a club cab pickup with a 38' trailer that was a wreck looking for a place to happen. Granted the men were very hard working, but 2 men and a boy doesn't qualify as a moving team. I ended up being the 3rd man, carrying and loading heavy stuff they couldn't handle by themselves. My daughter was promised they would move all their furniture, I ended up renting a 6 x 12 U-haul and had to drive 535 miles to finish the delivery.
There is a surprise clause that says you get one free item carried from the 2nd floor and delivery of one item to the second floor when delivered.
The broker said the move included 10,000 lbs of cargo, they went over slightly and he tried to get another $500.00. After my daughter explained that DAD had to help load and rented a U-Haul to bring the cargo they couldn't handle, the broker adjusted the price.
Would I use these guys again, NO! Brokers will promise you the moon and job out to the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for. Use a National Company with a good reputation that is bonded and insured.
