......We were trying to respond in company owner field but we didn’t find how to do that….. And didn't receive the answer how to do that from Moverreviews.com customer service... so we are responding here…. Dear Visitors!!!!! We moved Alexis N. from OH to MD. The move was scheduled for December 16, 2009 for pick-up in OH and next day December 17 , 2009 exclusive delivery to MD. Move size – fully furnished 3 bedroom house, with extra stop at parent’s house. The price we gave to the customer is FIXED , not changeable FLAT Rate including full moving and packing service. ( want to note, that Alexis stated in her review that price is $7600, but the total flat price was $7278.00) This relocation was an employee relocation – the company where her husband working paid for this move 100%. We send a truck with 53 foot trailer plus 4 man crew. It is true that 2 our movers left the move for 4 hours. They got fired for this. I, the owner of BestWay Moving , was speaking with Alexis’s mother ( since Alexis wasn’t present at the pick up at all) and trying to manage this situation in best way I could throughout the whole time of pick-up. But even with this issue, we packed and loaded full 53 ft trailer (this is 4000 cu ft – about 20 000 lbs – everybody can see the real size of this move ) for 12 hours. And we delivered the stuff exactly as was agreed by the contract – next day Dec 17. So, the problem with two our movers didn’t affect the price or terms of the contract at all. The price still was fixed and guaranteed, and delivery still was on time next day. Yes, it was some damages on the move. And it is happens sometimes, especially if count size of the move. About china cabinet: the wind really knocked it over. We cannot prove it of course, as well as customer can not prove that our movers knocked it over. Customer said that her washer and dryer machine, floor was damaged. I personally went to her house to look at the damages and speak about resolution. The washer machine and dryer wasn’t damage, the piece of tape stick on it, so it was easily removed by me. The same with floor – it was some piece of tape on it, I brought with me a guy who literally clean the floor. I gave to Alexis claim form to put every and each items that was damaged. We walked together through whole house, and listed all items to the form. We also have pictures of damaged items, and some of them has so micro damages that you cannot even see on the photo. By the contract between our company and Alexis Nasby, the price for the move included basic limited liability coverage. Customer has option to choose basic coverage or to buy full protection. (Alexis decided to go with basic liability). So, based on the claim form completed and signed by Alexis Nasby we paid by check insurance of $597.00. In addition to that, we hired a professional wood master to fix china cabinet and bed frame. The wood work was done perfectly. We have signed document by Alexis Nasby , that she 100% satisfied with resolution of all her complaints, also with wood work/repair of king size bed and china cabinet, and that she do not have any other complaints and concerns to BestWay Moving. (Document on file with Alexis Nasby signature, owner’s signature, and witness signature). We did every effort to resolve this complain. We go above and beyond to satisfy customer in this situation. And as of last day I saw her, she was totally satisfied with resolution of this situation, and now, 8 MONTH later we see this review. John Owner BestWay Moving
