Think it's coincidence all their positive reviews are posted verbatim on multiple sites? I think its all internal marketing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I called to ask for an estimate on moving. After I was given the estimate, I was told I needed to put down a deposit to hold the date. Since my dates were up in the air, I asked if I would be able to change them, and if I had to cancel if I would be charged anything. I was told twice that I would not be charged anything if I canceled 3 days in advance. I was also told that I would receive an email that would be how I would confirm. I have yet to receive this email.
Within 30 minutes my moving plans had changed (house i've been renting has been foreclosed, that's another post!) and I called to cancel and was told AT THAT point that the $75 was nonrefundable.
This was the first that had been mentioned, and I had specifically asked if I was going to be charged anything at all if I canceled and was told no. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Chloe. She was rude, short and hung up on me. I called back to ask to speak to her manager, Betsy, and she was more professional at first, but her tone quickly changed and she was also rude and hung up on me. I understand if a deposit is nonrefundable it is nonrefundable. But that was never explained to me, and I was lead to believe that I wouldn't have to pay that $75 if I canceled 3 days in advance. Had I known it was nonrefundable, I never would have paid it to begin with, as I knew my moving plans were up in the air . Had I not even specifically asked multiple times if i would be charged anything at all if i canceled 3 days in advance, I would not feel like I'd been mislead.
There is no way I will now trust this company to load my stuff onto a truck.
