first the people who picked up and delivered where not employees of Bekins, they were subcontractors. Their experience in moving was minimal. Dropping items. not enough equipment to move heavy items. a large dresser being dropped off a ramp injuring one of the workers. many glassware items broken. small furniture items broken and scratched because of poor packing in truck. Large oriental vase cracked. unprofessional, Asked for lunch money. Communication was difficult because of language barrier. we color coded boxes to make it easy for delivery, but could not communicate that to them.
