Bekins delivered the goods on the last available date without exceeding their original promise.
They did communicate well on the progress of the shipment.
I had them pack my china so that it would be covered by the replacement value insurance which I purchased. I could actually have done a better job myself as they did not wrap each piece individually and they did break two pieces which were part of antique sets and cannot be replaced.
Most annoying was the fact that they broke a hinge on an antique chest and refused insurance payment on it (I cannot open the lid).
In addition, they refused insurance payment on a wooden frame they broke on an antique mirror. I had glued it together a bit when it arrived so it would not fall further apart. They seemingly thought I had had it professionally fixed before I submitted the claim.
They broke two legs off a patio table which was almost brand new. It was threatening snow when they unpacked and the movers artfully propped the table up on the matching chairs so that we would not notice it until after they left!! They are paying for that one, but I have to deal with the nearest dealer for that brand which is one hour away and I will have to transport the replacement home myself and reassemble it myself.
Basically they squished things things together too much as there were many other rubbed pieces which I did not claim.
WATCH OUT FOR THE INSURANCE!! Even though I purchased the more expensive kind, for arguments about their claim rejections you have to pay $300 out of pocket for an arbitration company.
