I cannot believe all of the excellent ratings this company receives! Not one company out there receives nothing but five star reviews, which leads me to believe that all of the negative reviews are deleted. A reputable company would not only leave their negative reviews posted, but they would also do whatever it takes to rectify the problem. My husband and I were a military family (USMC) for over 20 years. We have had some great movers, as well as some bad ones. But I have never seen anything like this! My daughter and son-in-law hired Bayflower Moving Group to move them from NJ to KY because their youngest child is being treated at Children's Hospital of Cincinnati for brain cancer. They knew what my family was going through and the urgency of the move and they really took advantage of the situation. They gave a quote of $6000 for a full pack. After they packed and loaded my family's household goods and personal belongings they changed their price to $10,900! Quite a big difference. When the delivery truck arrived at their new home they said they weren't informed of the steep driveway and it would be an extra $650 for them to go to u-haul to rent a truck to shuttle the load. The same person who gave them the quote was made well aware of the driveway on more than one occasion. They also would not supply a receipt for the extra $650 because they "didn't have a machine and weren't able to." Does this sound more than a little shady to anyone else? After they rented the u-haul and unloaded the first load, they were backing down the driveway and attempted to turn the truck around in the yard halfway down. They ended up getting the truck stuck and had to leave it overnight and come back the next day with a tow truck. That's just the moving side of it. As we started unpacking the kitchen the first three boxes we opened had so many broken, damaged items! The food was thrown into boxes; cans, boxes, and bottles all together! No paper or protection whatsoever. Dishes were broken, things were open, garbage was thrown into the boxes! When we started unpacking the other rooms the amountf of damage was unbelievable! So many of the children's things were broken. These people had no regard whatsoever for other people's property. We have plenty of pictures that we took as we opened the boxes. When my son-in-law contacted the company they were rude and gave him the runaround. When my daughter tried to contract them they wouldn't even answer the phone. Needless to say they will be hiring an attorney. If you value your belongings, are looking for an honest, reputable company, then please continue to bypass this company and look further. I would hate to see anyone else go through what my daughter and son-in-law are going through.
