I consider a scam company to me one that treats you profesionally with kindness and is not honest about what they are promising to you up front. BR Movers falls within this category and I would not recommend using them. The bottom line is what we all look at when we are hiring moving companies. Spend the extra money to give yourself some peace of mind. This company quoted me at $1,053 and despite my accurate description of the items I wished to move, Jennifer indicated that I had "plenty of room within the 300 cubic foot volume." Everything she had agreed to with me over the phone was contradicted in-person with the actual moving crew. Not only was the move crew over two hours late, but they made me feel VERY uncomfortable with my decision to hire them. They were rude and confrontational and dishonest. Although I only had three pieces of furniture, I was charged $200 for wrapping materials to protect these pieces. Do your due diligence and check this company out THOROUGHLY before committing to them. I should be grateful that all of my items were returned within the guaranteed time frame, but I am not satisfied with that alone. When you are paying for service (especially $400 over what you were quoted) and you cannot get a response from the person who is your main contact, you are not getting good service. If you are considering this company, take a look at them with the Better Business Bureau and do your due diligence before hiring them.
