I had shopped for moving companies for my move from pa to nv. It's quite a big move. So yes I did shop around and read reviews on the various companies and ended up settling with blue van lines. Not for the price but for the appearance of overall quality and content from the reviews.
My inital contact sales rep randy was very nice ( as most sales people are wanting your business) but he was pleasant friendly helpful. He went over a lot of things left a few things out but overall fairly thorough. Even when I contacted him after the intial move he found a way for the main comapny to call me etc.
My movers that picked up my items gave me a time window between 2-6 they didnt show up until close to 10pm. But they did call to inform me that they were running late due to etc. They kept me posted on the progress of when they would arrive and if it would be ok if they showed up late or if they should come in the am etc. Those 3 gentlemen were the most professional efficient careful, courteous movera I've encountered.
fast forward a few weeks later. Callingol or emailing the corporate company is a hassle. Emails are never returned. Phone calls they never give you a straight answer. I received a email on friday saying to expect my delivery within 2-4 days and the driver would call me 24 ahead to let me know the time frame and 1 hour ahead to give me the exact time. The email could've been written by a middle or high schooler in all caps like it WAS BEING TXTED. DRIVER CALL B4 W APROX TIME.....etc
Twirls my thumb Monday passes Tuesday Wednesday hmmmm I call left a message nothing Thursday I call. Talked to someone the drivers name has not been loaded in the system. We dont know who your driver is but I will have corporate call you. Well today is the 4th day where you email said my items will show up. Well we will have corporate check into it
I called Friday finally got hold of someone that took the time to look up the drivera name for me. I called the driver. The driver told me he called the company to let them know there was a delay. No communication whatsoever. I talked to the gentleman and said he would make the delivery today between 10am and 2pm and that he wouldn't be able to drive the trailer into the complex. ( all week I have been seen tractor trailers in our complex) I would need to pay extra 250 for the shuttle service because he doesnt have thr skills to manage getting the trailer in the complex.I said fine just get me my furniture. ........yes I am still waiting for my furniture no call from blue no call from the driver.
