Moving from Atlanta to Seattle...don't believe anything they promise. you are better off just renting your own truck and driving it cross country yourself.
I've sent an emails and placed calls to our rep Joey at Atlanta Van LInes, as to why was there a rental truck to pick up our furniture, when he promised that it would be an Atlanta Van Line Truck and people in Atlanta Van LIne Uniform/clothing to pickup up our things, all of which was not true and I have yet to hear back from him. Our things would not be switched between trucks and it would go immediately on truck heading west. After placing several calls, all of sudden there trucks were in shops and they didn't know when things would get transported. Our things were picked up on Friday 2/14 and today 2/22 our things are still in Norcross, GA and we have yet to hear a status of WHEN our things will even depart. Who knows how our things going to arrive in Seattle now. The argument is...they have up to 21 business days to deliver our furniture, and of course they will 'supposedly' call you within 24 hours of delivery and if you are not around to accept it you will start incur charges!! We had a window of when we could accept delivery because we travel for a living, and Joey stated it never takes that long time and things should be delivered in a timely manner.
We are just not happy with this entire experience and this company. Please beware when dealing with this company....aka...Atlanta Van Lines, Hotlanta Movers, Platinum Van Lines are all part of the same company! You might get a discounted or price matching rate, but you will definitely pay for it in others way.
BEWARE!!
when I wrote this, I was hoping and praying things would get better or at least with communication....but every time I call dispatcher or the ATL Van Line number there nobody available. When you call dispatcher you will get Stephanie because depending on who you are, you will not move past her. if you call ATL Van Line...Joseph seems to answer the phone and nobody is available at all.
I've worked in customer service for many years and communication is the key for any customer despite the lying salesman who sold you the contract.
I know for a fact they are going to say, well you signed this contract....but you know what, at the moment when things are getting picked up, do you really have much of a choice!! you'd have a choice when things were straight forward before signing contract!!!
