The only thing Assurance Van Lines can Assure you of is a horrible moving experience. My experience was horrible... Assurance Van Lines only sub contracts, so there quote means nothing. While moving to NC I was quoted $2,000. By the time I moved in, my moving price ballooned to $5000. In addition to the crazy cost increase, they broke my laptop and several other items. The customer service is rude and non-responsive to issues. From my horrible experience, never use a subcontracting moving firm. They never come on site to quote. That is necessary to get a fixed firm moving quote. Please never use this firm. They are bad news and could care less about the customer. I really wish they would go out of business or get some management that cares.
