This was the worst move I have ever experienced. If you want your property stolen and to be lied to about pricing then this is the company for you. I have moved many times before and I never had an issue like I had with these guys. I went through the internet to get quotes from a couple of companies. This company wasn’t the cheapest. My appointment was set-up for 7 a.m. - 12 noon. At 7:30 a.m. I called the company to see where the movers were and was told that my move time had not been changed from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. as requested. I received a call from one of the movers and was told that he had a move around the same area and would be at my house between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. I explained to him that I had furniture being delivered and I needed him to show up earlier as this was very inconvenient and should not be my fault that his company didn’t make the changes I requested. He proceeded to tell me that the earliest he would be out was 10:30 a.m.. The paperwork they showed up with had a price higher than what was originally quoted. They were charging me a $20.00 extra trip charge not previously on the quote I received. In addition to this, the movers did not have a few items I had listed in my email to the sales people and they wanted to charge me additional money for them. In the end my move cost me $60.00 more than originally quoted. That however was the least of my worries! As it turns out not only did I get screwed over financially, the movers also stole my laptop. When I called their office, the attitude of management was that they could care less. I noticed that my laptop was missing when I went looking for it when I got back to my new apartment from the house I was moving from. I know exactly where I put it and when I went to get it, it was gone! I was not in the room with the movers at all times and my laptop was sitting on the floor in my closet. I believe these guys put my laptop in a dresser that I had them move. The reason I believe this is because they were doing a half-ass job to begin with and then one guy opened my dresser to show me that there was nothing in the drawers. I found this extremely strange because I knew there was nothing in them but I just wanted to get rid of these thieves. I got home and called the 1-800 # to report that my laptop was missing. They left a message for the manager of the Houston branch and contacted one of the drivers who said they did not move a laptop. Who is going to admit to taking a laptop??? Come on. The next morning I called the manager to discuss my laptop with him and he could care less. He told me that his guys had written up a report on the incident and claimed they were nowhere close to the laptop. The dresser and TV they moved were less than 3 feet from my laptop. He proceeded to tell me that they reported that a strange man was in the house during the time they were moving me and that they did not know who he was. The gentleman was my friend who owned the house where I had been living. Why would they know anybody???? I informed him that I would be filing a police report and he told me to make sure and give him the case number and all paperwork regarding the incident once I received it. He seemed way too familiar with someone wanting to file a police report. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are liars and thieves. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!
