Obnoxious People! Will Never Use Again!!

The two men that The Apartment Movers assigned to move my things didn't even know that they'd been scheduled for my move until just a few hours before they actually arrived. They'd been moving stuff all day and were obviously tired by the time they finally arrived at my house hours later than had been originally scheduled. As a result, the move took longer than was originally quoted and I of course had to pay more by the hour than my original estimate. To top it off, the movers forgot to turn on the water when they reconnected my washing machine! When I called the company back after they had completed the move to tell them that the washing machine (which had been working just fine before the move) wasn't working in my new house, some obnoxious manager told me to "reach behind the machine to turn the water on". Yeah, like its so simple to move a heavy washing machine by myself and just reach down to turn on the water! When I told him that the machine was too heavy for me and asked him if they could just send someone to move the machine so I could try to turn the water on, he said I should just "get one of my guy friends to move it". My husband at this time was out of town, but when he returned and I told him what had happened, he was not pleased at all. He called the company back asking for an explanation and the representative that he spoke to was rude and unapologetic. He claimed that the important thing was that the movers connected the machine. Just what good is connecting a washing machine if you don't turn on the water faucet after you connect it?!! In the end, we had to pay an external technician $100 to come to the house to look at the machine and figure out the problem. The solution: he moved the machine, climbed on top and behind it and turned the water faucets on! We called The Apartment Movers back and the technician himself spoke to a manager and told him that the water to the machine hadn't been turned on by the movers. The company refused to admit any fault and didn't reimburse us for the $100 technician visit. We were repeat customers with The Apartment Movers but we will NEVER use this company again and we'll tell all our friends to stay away from them!
