I used AMS to move from SC to AL during the summer. I contacted several companies and after reading reviews and checking the BBB I decided to book with them. Booking was very easy. I did not know exactly when we would need the pickup because we had not yet set a closing date on out new house. Thankfully everything worked out. The movers arrived on time and were extremely nice. I had to do a lot of packing myself since my husband had already moved and I guess I'm not that great of a packer. Garrick and his crew were awesome about repacking some of my stuff.
Halfway through loading I was informed they might not be able to deliver on time due to mechanical problems with some trucks. Josh informed me they were going to try their hardest to work it out. He did say they would store the items free of charge if needed. I wasn't really happy with this since I had a 5 month old and 2 dogs.
We ended up being able to move into our new house a day early and they could deliver it that day. They were about 2 hours late but did call to let me know. I'm pretty easy going so it wasn't a huge deal to me.
I was very pleased with the move. The one thing I kept thinking was " thank goodness I'm not having to unload all this stuff myself"! Done that before and would much rather have a few mishaps.
Things aren't always going to be perfect especially when you aren't the only customer. They have to think about multiple people when something goes wrong.
