Mover Was Unprofessional and Sloppy

This company is a joke. They are a broker and source your move out to an actual moving company, so the people you are speaking with up front have very little connection and communication with the people actually performing your move. They sent some sloppy, Eastern European/Russian gentlemen to handle my move, and from the moment the guy approached me with a cigarette in his hand, I knew most of my possessions would be damaged (he was also 4 hours late at pick up).
Sure enough, when they unloaded my things at delivery (it was a Richmond, VA to Philadelphia, PA move), all of my furniture was damaged in some way, one item critically. Further, the guy (Boris was his name) had the nerve to bring in the damaged item (my dresser) last and tried to get me to pay him before bringing it in. He knew he screwed up and tried to negotiate with me on discounting the moving cost. I kicked him out of my apartment as soon as possible.
When I called Americas Moving Services (again, not your actual mover) to complain and discuss what I needed to do to file an insurance claim, they suggested they had never had any complaints about Boris in the past and that I would need to work with the insurance company to recover the cost of my damaged furniture (a hands in the air approach post move).
This crew is a bunch of jokers and I highly suggest you avoid using them for your move. If you do, joke is on you.
