A few months back my wife and I moved through America's Moving Services. The move went well but a Wal-Mart entertainment stand that cost $200.00 was damaged. The unit was made of particle board and we were told that particle board was not covered under the insurance for the move. America's Moving Services offered us $100.00 compensation for the damage which I believed to be fair but my wife was furious. Well, we have since divorced and I belive in Karma and what goes around comes around. When she demanded $500.00 compensation from America's Moving Serivces (the unit cost $200.00 brand new mind you and it was 2 years old) and when America's Moving Services countered with the $100.00 she began to write scathing reviews on their company all over the internet and being the relentless person she is she would not quit. She accused them of stealing,overcharging and damaging items. I was there for the move and the only damage was her piece of shit entertainment stand. Our weight was 500 lbs. more than estimated and when she was told that we owed an additonal $250.00 she became even more pissed off. They brought the price down $200.00 and that still wasn't good enough. To make a long story short, I would like to apologize to America's Moving Services for the trouble my wife has caused them and I would also like to let everyone know that since I have moved out and into my own place I moved with guess who??? America's Moving Services and they were really great and I appreciate their willingness to work with my price considering the fact that my wife has almost taken me for everything that I have and is still not done. I cannot divulge her name or where we moved from or to due to legal reprucussions and should she read this she would most likely contact her lawyer and the next thing she would go after would be my testicles. But again, America's Moving Serivces did a great job on both moves and I would like to set the record straight.
