We had many problems using this company for our move from MD to CA.
First of all, they requested to have the pick up one day later and to please them we agreed. Since they made this request last minute we were not able to get the back door of our condo open, while it was open on the day they told us they will come at first. As a consequence the movers had to walk over 75 feet from our apartment to the parking lot and we were charged $250 for that (which was eventually reduced to $125 after our complaints).
Then, we have seriously been overcharged. We weighed each of our boxes and in addition we had one sofa and one sofa bed from Ikea and a mattress. So we knew exactly what was the weight of our move. When we saw that we were overcharged by 400lbs we asked for a reweigh at destination. On the phone they were very nice and told us it won't be a problem, but when the truck arrived at destination the movers couldn't find a scale (and didn't try very hard actually). So we were not able to reweigh our load but we are certain that we were overcharged.
Finally, we were told by phone that the movers would give us a 24-hour notice to deliver our furniture. But this was not the case. They called us at 12:30 to tell us that they will be there between 5 and 6pm. We told them that it was not possible for us to be there with such a short notice. So again to work something out we agreed to an 8am delivery for the next morning (which is still not 24-hour notice).
To summarize, the movers and my contact person at the company were actually nice, but because of all the troubles we had, I won't ever use this company again.
