I hired this company because all over the internet this place got five stars...A rating on BBB etc. But beware...I think they have people just writing reviews. I am a REAL reviewer that is definitely NOT raving about this company. Mind you it is July 15 and I STILL haven't received my stuff. Was supposed to get it 1 week ago. So let me start by telling you about my experience thus far.
First of all...this is a CONTRACTING company. They are not movers themselves per se. I hired them for a move from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles. They truck that came by was a Mayflower truck...HUH!?
FYI I should have hired Mayflower...I am a military person and have never had issues besides our stuff being dinged etc at least they are on time. One doesn't realize how annoying it is to not have your stuff ON TIME. Guess what the name of the contracted company was called "On-Time Moving Servies" YEAH RIGHT!!?
Anyway...my move was scheduled June 30. They said I would receive a call 48 hours before my move date. They never called me. I had to call multiple times before I got and answer saying "Oh I'm sorry some trucks were over weight...we'll let you know when we can get a truck out to you...maybe the next day." Try the NEXT WEEK!? July 4 is when they finally moved my stuff. There were so many inconveniences. They always said "we'll let you know" and they never called me back. I was always the one calling to find out. The only time they called was to get money from me. Boy did they contact me immediately. I complained to Matt about the service and I never heard back from him...and began working with somebody else...Demetrius...he sort of helped me. But considering this is supposed to be "the best company"...it was the worst.
Now they said 7-11 days to get my stuff...it's scheduled to come July 18-19...most likely it will come the 19th. Oh...and they made sure to send me the bill "on time" and call me about that. It's July 15th and I haven't heard any news about my stuff.
Lastly...I wanted them to move my vehicle...BIG MISTAKE. THey were supposed to pick it up around July 4. They contracted out to a company called vehiport. Didn't hear from them until I called them on July 11 complaing why no one has come to pick up my car. They gave some BS explanation about me not paying enough money for and "exact" day pickup but they were already bordering on the "we'll pick it up anywhere up to 10 days passed the scheduled date." It wasn't until I called them that they finally picked up the car. Who knows when I'll get it.
Finally...I am being sarcastic. They gave me a great military discount...$50 off a $3600 move...thanks for supporting the troops!
DO NOT GO WITH AMERICA'S MOVING SERVICES...THEY ARE NOT ONTIME...and being ontime is 80% of the battle.
