I was quoted a much lower estimate and not told of their 8% fuel surcharge (added $210) until after they had packed my items. I was told the delivery would be in 5 days, possibly 7 at the very most as they had trucks going to NC twice a week. After daily phone calls and being told numerous lies, my belongings were delivered 17 days after they were picked up. The final price went from $1848 up to $2658. On delivery, one mirror that they had wrapped, packaged and charged me for was broken. On closer examination through the DOT after this expereince, I have found out that his company only has one truck, and has several violations of their log books and medical certificate for the drivers (2).
Their customer service rep Randy Cosman is new to the moving business and has very littel knowledge about it, such as parking permits in Boston, disclosing additional charges, and being honest about the default delivery date of 14 days. The second service rep I dealt with was Sarah Sanchez who was often rude, talks way too much and is useless.
I also had a tip demanded of me when the truck was packed. I was told that $150 in cash was expected, as there were three packers and this was "how they make their living" and that this had been told to me before. I was shocked that anyone would ask for a tip with a specific amount in mind, and I was certainly not informed of this ahead of time. I gave them all the cash I had on me- $30 hoping this would be enough. All in all, a dishonest company with a slick website posing to be bigger than they are with very poor customer service.
