First they were suppose to come Saturday then called Friday night to say they couldn’t make it until Sunday but would be there around 7 am. By 2 pm on Sunday I began calling and was told that the drivers, the truck and all my stuff was MIA. Apparently they were completely out of contact with the company and they had no idea where they were. They finally called me around 6 pm to say they were lost and needed directions, problem was they spoke VERY LITTLE English, they were Middle Eastern. My dad gave them directions and they still got lost. They called around 6:45, by than my dad had left and being new I don’t know the area so I was trying to help them until the guy wanted to speak to my “husband”. Told him I didn’t have one and he called me an “F’ing B… “ nice- huh. Called the company screaming at this point. They showed up at 7:20 only after I sent my daughter out alone in her car to get them from the highway cause they refused to come into my development because once again, they couldn’t understand my directions.
When they go to the house, they refused to open the back of the truck until I paid them in cash and made me sign the paperwork saying everything was satisfactory before even unloading my stuff. They then refused to take any of the furniture to the 2nd floor bedroom and left everything in my living room. The guy told me he had been driving for 22 hours and was tired and was not walking up a flight of steps. I told him part of my contract was that they would reassemble the furniture, he told me he didn’t care he was tired. When I walked into my son's room to check his bed, they jumped in their truck and left, I then called the Police to give them the truck information to report the driver was out of hours and wanted the DOT to pull the tag when they stopped at the weigh station only to look out my window and see the truck returning. At that point I hit the panic button on my alarm and the police came-apparently the idiots were in such a rush to leave, they left their cell phone in my garage, I didn’t know why they returned so was certainly not letting them in my house.
Never dull…. I finally got a hold of the company office rep who is telling me they are going give me some of my money back but didn’t tell me how much so in order to make them understand how totally angry I am that I had to have my neighbors come over and help me move furniture, I filed a complaint with the BBB and with the Federal DOT. I also called my attorney and left him a message this morning that I want him to file for a full reimbursement for Breach of Contract since they clearly didn’t fulfill the contract as well as punitive damages.
