I was in a bit of a hurry to move from Arkansas to Camp Pendleton CA, I did very little research on the company before I hired them. Basically I was crunched for time so I took one of the first people to call me. Yeah they were ALL about getting my business at first. I had a 1400 dollar quote (everything we told them about was correct and even overestimated). They were able to get me a truck within 2 days, only then did I start to realize I was being taken for the ride. I was THEN informed AFTER they had packed all my stuff on the truck that they packed by space not weight and I went from a decent 1400 dollar quote to a 2216 dollar pricing. It took them dang near 3 weeks after calling them and telling them where we live and getting the "4-6 days it will be there" speech 3 separate times did they finally show up. Were missing screws for our kitchen table so now its useless, were missing shelves they packed WITH the bookcase so now the bookcase is useless, most the boxes were crushed and smashed. They THEN had the gall to ask for their money and gave us a number that said was NOT in service anymore to file complaints. I'm a US Marine of 3 1/2 years....I have just spent 2200 dollars to have everything that I have (which isnt much) torn to shreds and then basically robbed and given a faulty phone number to call. They should be ashamed to call themselves the "American Movers Group". Please for whatever its worth, DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!
