Charged way more than "binding quote"

I was quoted with a "binding quote", and when I read it over again, it does not say anywhere they will charge for "packing" - they had a complete and thorough inventory from our storage unit - including the size of boxes. We were told they would pack the mattresses and box springs at no charge. What else could there be to "pack", since the rest was furniture or already in boxes. There was a mirror and a picture, which they were told about at the start. I was quoted $1280 and just got an email that it will more then $400 more than quoted- so a total of $1710! For "packing" and 400 extra pounds. I called at 4:25 p.m. yesterday - the anwered, but then said they were closing soon and I should call back. I have been put on hold or sent to voicemail since they opened this morning at 8:00. They wouldn't stop calling me when they wanted the job, now it is next to impossible to talk to someone! We couldn't have been any more specific in our description of the items to be moved - even specified LOG bedroom set, the size of the logs for the bed, etc. What was the surprise? I am fuming!
