This is the worst experience I have ever had, and I have moved over five times. From the day I asked for a quote until I made the first payment, they (Chris, Natale, Katie, Eric) contacted me practically everyday. When I needed them to clarify violations of contract on their part (very late delivery, over a week), they all avoided me, the operator repeatedly promised me my messages would be given and that I'd be called back. It never happened; however, they made me "negotiate" with the driver, on both, pick-up and delivery. The driver came up with charges they had never mentioned before, never! They charged me over 300 hundred dollars above the estimate for packaging things I didn't want packaged (sofas, table, etc.) The driver told me to either packaged (and pay for it) or leave them behind. On delivery they charged me $75.00 because they had to walk a few meters, even when my storage-unit door was less than a meter away from the road; they claimed their truck "was too big to risk getting near it". They (signed by Katie, manager) sent me an invoice with a price, for which I got ready to pay on delivery, that was over 300 hundred dollars less than what the driver insisted I should pay. I insistently tried to contact a supervisor but to no avail (on an early Friday afternoon). Only when I decided not to pay and send my stuff back, did a supervisor (Katie) contact me. She claimed she had made a mistake and she was sorry for it and there was nothing she could do about it. It was the worst experience EVER with a moving company. I will NEVER again use American Movers Group!!!
