While Ron was the only person I could tolerate dealing with towards the end, the overall company procedures were rediculous. Not only did my move cost $800 more than I was quoted (partly due to me having more boxes than I thought) but the service was absolutely the worst I have ever received, anywhere. Toby was rude and disrespectful, some of my belongings/bins/shelf were broken in the move. They left garbage all over my new apartment and did not even put my matress and box spring on the frame. I had to wait 9 additional days to what I orginially was promised as a delivery date at the time I made the reservation. Of course once they had all my things they did not hold up their end of the bargin. Additionally they called me at 4pm one afternoon (after already telling me they could not deliver until a later date) saying that they could deliver my things that night!!!
I would not recommend this moving service to anyone. It is embarrassing that a company that operates like this is still open and operating.
I have moved 6 times in the past 7 years and the only company I would use if moving again is two men and a truck who were awesome in my move locally in CT as well as a move from CT to Boston.
Good Luck with your moving search, do not use American Movers!
