Our estimate doubled. Contact with company was easy until time of pick up. They underestimated the size truck we needed and were not able to take 2 of the large items. We were told a truck would come to get them. Waited 3 days and they never showed. We had to move from our house. They told us we would have to leave the 4 wheeler somewhere and they would try to find someone to pick it up. ( We did not) We had to get someone ielse to move it. We moved the motorcycle ourselves. We were told it would take one day to pack. It took 3 days. They literally dumped our drawers into boxes. Many things broken. Many still missing. OUr delivery date was scheduled for Sept. 25. We got a delivery on Oct. 9th. We had to pay in full before they would unload anything. When they were done they called me to the truck to tell me they could not bring everthing that American Movers had again underestimated the space needed. They did not know when we would get the rest of the items. I had paid in full and had to fight yelling and screaming over the phone to get them to give me money back. They gave me $500 back but still said I owed for the 4 wheeler they did not bring. During the next couple weeks many phone calls which were not answered. The owner of the company that delivered the first half was the only one helpful. We were given 4 different arrival times. There was always some complication. On Oct. 25th we got the 2nd delivery. Very nice movers who did the best they could. We had many things broken or damaged and some things still missing. The stress we went through during this move just about did both my husband and myself in. Sleeping on an air mattress for a month. No table top, on desk top, no dresser. no mattress. I hope no one ever has to go through what we went thourgh.
