When it’s time to move, you know it's anxiety: packing up, finding a mover, timing, expense, uncertainty, etc. But when you move 2000 miles away, the anxiety more than doubles. On top of that, I had only a "minimum" amount of stuffXXXa small studioXXXto move. So how to find a reliable, long distance mover who won't either scam me or rip me off?? Searching for one on the internet, getting lots of lowball quotes and some ridiculously high quotes, then reading the horror stories on a movingscams website, just increased my paranoia.
Then I got lucky. I talked to American Choice Van Lines. They gave me a very reasonable quote to start with, and when I explained my situation and sent him a complete inventory, they did even better. They guided me on getting a Parking Permit from San Francisco, and followed up to reassure about the timing of the move. Alex, the driver who showed up could not have been a nicer guy. No hassles at all. Delivery was smooth and quick.
What more can I say? If you want to be smart, go with American Choice. They will save you not just money but your mental health! Your precious stuff will be moved efficiently without drama or price gouging. What's more valuable than that?
