I used this company because of the great reviews on this site - I found that they are not reputable and do not follow the law. Here's my story: Everything was great with the quoting process and signing of the contract, very accessible before and after the agreement was made - up until the day before the move at which point they were impossible to reach. I could only leave messages or send emails. On the day of the move they did not comply with the terms agreed to when I set up the contract - specifically they did not have the wardrobe boxes that I asked for and was paying for. They told me to dump the clothing in a box which they could provide but it was not a wardrobe box. I disagreed and sent a friend to purchase wardrobe boxes. This held us up a bit. Also prior to the pick-up I asked whether I should provide my own mattress bags and was told it was unnecessary and they would take of this. However they did not bring any mattress bags and wanted to wrap my mattresses in pads only. I did not want to do this as it is a risk for bed bugs. Instead, they wrapped the mattress in to plastic wrap and then charge me $80 for the plastic wrap. Annoying yes, but these were small compared to what happened ont he road. I had been given the option of paying by weight or by volume. I opted to pay by weight as I had moved 11 months prior and had all my records on what my move weighed. In fact, this time around I had reduced my possessions and gotten rid of a major piece of furniture. When they arrived I received a weigh ticket for the empty truck but was not at that weigh in, so I could not verify that it was the same truck even. I did attend the weigh-in AFTER items were on truck and was SHOCKED to find that it came in 1100lbs OVER what I expected. That is equivalent to 30% over the weight of my move 11 months prior. I was not convinced that this was accurate but could do nothing to at the point of them having my belongings on the truck. I immediately wrote an email to my sales rep expressing concern and dissatisfaction about how the move had started and asked for a way to resolve the issues. There was no response to my email. I then began to research the law and found I was entitled to get the truck re-weighed. I called the dispatch guy who was now my main point of contact and when I expressed an interest in getting the shipment re-weighed before unloading he YELLED at me and I had to hang up as he was entirely unreasonable. I tried numerous ways to contact the company but they NEVER answered the phone anymore. My calls went into voice mail always. Eventually someone would call me back and leave me a message that was specifically related to my delivery date but not to any of the problems itemized in my emails. Knowing that by law I was entitled to a re-weigh before delivery I asked again and was again YELLED at by dispatch. Then ,while the delivery was progressing on-time there was a speculation by dispatch that it would be delivered at a time when they knew I was unavailable (court date). It is my opinion they were setting me up for a hostage situation. When the driver called to discuss delivery time I asked for a re-weigh and they told me I needed to talk with dispatch, but dispatch would not answer my calls or emails. Eventually I gave in and paid the entire amount for the delivery and now must go through small claims/civil court to re-coup my losses. This was a terrible experience. If you have questions you can feel free to contact me.
