I just moved from Carlsbad, CA to Lexington SC. I would like to recommend Atlas Allied of Poway, California. Mr. Jim Wilcoxson was my initial contact person. He came to the storage unit, estimated the household weight and quoted a binding cost of 2781.00. In the end his weight estimate was within 150 lbs. I did my research on moving from getting 6 estimates for comparison and also accessing information about compliance to federal regulations and read everything I could find online about how to choose a mover to reading reviews of every company I considered. Atlas Allied had good reports in every area. The quote was a little higher, about 400.00 more. However, based on the fact that they were the only company, of 3 possibles that I narrowed the list to, that was willing to and insisted on meeting at the storage unit to give an accurate estimate, which is what I wanted. There were no financial surprises. What they quoted is what I paid.
The load was picked up on time and delivered on time with no problems. The same driver,Jose, that picked up also delivered in the same truck. I did not want my items passed around to different trucking companies and drivers. I wrote the license plate numbers on the truck that picked up and compared upon delivery. I was able to reach my contacts, Jim and Mike Castenellos during the transit time and the driver called me 3 times to tell me he was still on track to meet the delivery date promised. The driver and his helpers did an excellent job in loading and wrapping and taking care of my possessions. They were courteous, friendly, and very professional. All items were taken apart and reassembled, furniture and boxes were placed where i requested. I found no damage to anything; I have completely unpacked everything. I would use this company again and highly recommend the company.
