To be fair I had used Allied/Morse Moving on a local move in 2008 which went pretty well. I contracted them for a cross country move and could not have had a worse experience. Ranging from a crew who damaged our former home, went and took drinks from our personal refrigerator to packing things they were told not to pack and completely missing drawers which needed to be packed.
We contracted with them in March for a July move yet they still did not have a driver when it was time to deliver our goods. Unfortunately, we were the last ones to find out and had to live out of a hotel room with four kids and a dog for 5 days.
When our stuff was delivered they had lost a plasma TV, shattered the screen on another plasma TV, lost boxes and damaged the majority of our furniture.
The claims staff at Allied has done a nice job in responding but senior management at Morse Moving have taken no accountability. I was told by the crew who unpacked our shipment that they had NEVER seen such a poor job of packing.
I would never recommend or use Morse Moving again as they completely failed in all aspects of our move. I feel like I gave them many chances to bring this to a satisfactory resolution but they have chosen not to take them.
I find it ironic that a "Presidents Letter" they post on their web site talks about growing top line revenue while looking to reduce expenses. I now understand how they are reducing expenses by cutting corners and not focusing on quality.
