Oh my God! Where do I start?! Basically, Allied just cares about money. We had the worst excuse for a driver in history. He was a wimpy moron (who also refused to give us his last name, a common thread in complaints about Allied) who did nothing except make excuses for why things couldn't get done instead of just getting things done. (Our packing crew sucked and broke numerous items, but that's another story.) He arrived late to our new house because...because...well, just because he sucked. He was then afraid to back his truck down our street, even though all of our neighbors said their drivers had no problem. He had to rent a smaller truck to offload our items and then drive that truck down the street. ALLIED CHARGED US $1,500 FOR THE SECOND TRUCK!!! We didn't pay directly, but ended up paying because Allied withheld that amount from the damages they owed us. Even after withholding the money, they billed us for the second truck. I had to call an attorney to talk to the GM of the Allied franchise in Fort Worth, TX. They then agreed to drop the matter.
DON'T EVER USE ALLIED VAN LINES!!!!!!!!!!
