Our move experience was horrible. Apparently there are no Aliance vans. We expected an Alliance van to pick up our goods but instead a Penske showed up. Any reputable mover (United, etc.) had there own vans arrive to be packed.
As soon as I contracted and paid the deposit I could no longer talk with Jules. He would not return my phone messages. The "I will be with you every step of the move" was not true. Alliance customer service failed to correct a delivery address error resulting in extra delivery charges.
Pick-up agent threatened to dump our goods out of the truck on the driveway unless extra money was paid. He said estimate by our buddy "Jules" was bad. Did not get weight ticket copies showing total weight of our goods. Perfect opportunity for shipping based on weight to cheat customer by adding fuel between empty truck weight and loaded weight.
Delivery was a disaster. Not an Alliance van but some broken down, oil leaking contract van. Driver was surly, would not assembled furniture that the pick-up agent disassembled. Would not follow direction on where to place goods. Forced us to pay extra charges for the Alliance delivery address error. Driver threatened to dump our goods at a warehouse unless we agreed to extra charges. He had us "over a barrel".
DO NOT believe Alliance representations. Basically for us all lies. Go with the best mover which is not Alliance.
