The only reason I booked my move with Alliance Express Moving and
Storage was because their sales representative, Vilma Monzon, said
that they had their own movers and trucks, as I did not want to deal
with a subcontractor. When the dispatcher called, she identified
herself as "Marissa, with a moving company". When I called back, I
asked her what company she worked for, and she would not tell me until
I told her my name and move date, and then she said she was "Marissa
with Alliance Express". This seemed a little suspicious, and then on
the day of the move, 2 movers wearing G&G Best Transportation Moving
and Storage shirts arrived, in a rented Penske truck. When they were
finished loading my items, they informed me that since it was Sunday
late afternoon/early evening, the truck would be weighed the next day
and the same woman I spoke with, Marissa, would be calling me to tell
me the total weight on Monday. I waited for her call, which never
came. I then started calling each day, and then she finally called
back and said that the shipment was 1975 pounds over the original
weight. I asked her for the certified weight ticket, and she said she
couldn't find it. I filed a complaint against Alliance Express with
the Better Business Bureau on December 28, 2011 and then was contacted
by Tony Ouzonian, the manager of Alliance Express, on January 6, 2012
who yelled at me for filing a complaint without talking to him first.
I explained to him why I was unhappy with both his company and with
G&G and he told me that if I withdrew the complaint against Alliance
Express and transferred it over to G&G, that he would have the owner
of his company talk to the owner of G&G to work out a solution because
otherwise, he couldn't do anything to help me. I asked him why his
sales representative intentionally defrauded me by claiming that
Alliance Express had their own movers and trucks, and he said that
they "did have our own movers and trucks, but that they were all
booked on the day of your move and to make sure the move happened, we
had to use one of our subcontractors, G&G Best Transportation Moving
and Storage, in order to accommodate your move." I looked up Alliance
Express on the FMCSA site, and they have ZERO trucks registered to
their company. I confronted Tony Ouzonian about his earlier statement
that Alliance Express had their own movers and trucks, and sent him
the link to the FMCSA page which showed Zero trucks registered, and he
replied, "Well All of our trucks are Owner operated by them , Not By
the company." After transferring my complaint from Alliance Express to
G&G, Tony has been unresponsive, and only responds to emails saying
that he was "out of the office on training" or "on vacation", and has
done nothing to help resolve this matter.
Look up all movers on the FMCSA site and if they have 0 trucks registered, THEY ARE NOT THE ACTUAL MOVING COMPANY WHO WILL MOVE YOUR THINGS!!
