I am an assitant defense coach for the GA TECH Yellow Jackets, I was relocated by GA TECH from Oregon, I was given a moving allowance through the sport department at the University, The relocation coach told me to be thorough when researching companies. She had relocated a few employees and apparently there move went array.
That being said I got to work, I came across 3 companies (Although dozens contacted me) I stuck to the best. Mayflower, United and Allegiant. Mayflower because as a kid I have always heard their name, United because I used them once before and Allegiant because everyone knows them in Oregon.
I was most likely going to use United because my first move went ok, except there were some damages and they took 6 months to pay but at least they did pay. The only issue was their price was over the alloted budget. Allegiant was right on the money with Mayflower.
I guess when it came to it, I chose Allegiant simply based on my conversation with their represenative/manager Julian (Same name as my son) I got a good vibe from him.
The movers showed up last Monday morning, I have a 4 bedroom home. All I can say is I have never seen a bunch of guys work so hard, I immediatel thought how I would want these young guys on my team. They were cordinated, organized and helped one another. They packed my entire home in 8 hours. professionally. The field supervisor Jesse was great also, he showed me the bill, inventory was well kept, everything boxed up was accounted for. It was a perfect move. Yesterday I received my items, a different crew which I didnt mind. I figured it would be but the guys works just as hard and we are now in our new home in GA ready for the new football season, my wife and I have our work cut out for us but at least the hardpart is over with. I wanted to share my gratitude to Allegiant and my experience with everyone else.
