Picked up our stuff in Portland 5 days late. Move supposed to take 2 weeks but took 6 weeks. Cost more than double the binding estimate
Because they were five days late picking up the items, they caused us to lose our security deposit. The move was supposed to take about 2 weeks, but it took 6 weeks and cost us more than double our binding estimate. When we questioned the price, they threatened they would dispose of our stuff. They changed the pick up date 3 or 4 times, did not cancel times they scheduled but just didn't show up. Same thing in reverse at the time of delivery XXXthey gave us at least 4 dates when they would make our delivery and never canceled if they were not going to make it. If we called for information, they didn't take our call, we might call back 5 times before getting an answer or a call back. At the last minute, after contracting to deliver in New York City, they advised their truck was too large and not allowed in the city XXXwhich would result in an additional fee of $450 for them to arrange a smaller truck.
Because of the big delay in delivering our stuff, we were living in an apartment with only a bed and a small suitcase of clothes for weeks.
