I saw the deal initially on Living Social and called. Received a quote for $400. No problem. I explained VIA EMAIL several times that my apartment was not only on the 2nd floor of the building, but that THE ACTUAL APARTMENT HAS 2 FLOORS as well. I was excessively clear about this. I highlighted it in the e-mail, pointed arrows at it, etc. When I finally spoke to Gina, I explained AGAIN. I asked her, are you understanding that we live on the 2nd floor, AND our apartment has TWO floors? She said, Oh, ok....she upped the quote to $425. I said, thats all? Are you sure we're ok? She wrote in writing in HUGE LETTERS, GOOD TO GO! $425. I printed all the e-mails and kept them in a folder. The day before moving day they called to confirm. The morning of the move, the movers called and said they were en route. They arrived at the apartment, when they saw it was 2 floors they said we have a problem. They were not told it was a TWO floor apartment. I said well, I am so sorry but I said it 15 times and got a quote based on this fact. He said well please call Scott. I did, and he was horribly rude. Trying to get me to pay an additional $60. I said I am sorry but that is your problem, not mine. I have it in writing that this is a two floor apartment, etc. The movers were ready to walk out. They said they haven't been paid in over 2 weeks, that the company consistently does this, underquotes the customers, and then this happens. I was paying via a money order, and the movers were hoping for cash so they could keep the money. This made me feel very uneasy. But they finally accepted the money order, wrote up the papers and we got started. However, Scott in the office threw a fit, said, and I quote verbatim "I can't take this s**t anymore! The customers are cracked out, the workers are cracked out, I've had it!!" and HUNG UP IN MY FACE! Really??? What kind of company is that? The workers were THE nicest guys around though. Very courteous, professional, helpful, kind. Packed and wrapped everything extremely good. Our move was only a few blocks between apartment and house, so it went pretty fast. I felt bad for their situation. We tipped them, bought them Gatorade, water, etc. I would work with the workers any day of the week, but I will NEVER recommend the company to anyone and if it was possible, I would take this action further and do something, I don't know what though. Court? No, BBB report, yes. DO NOT use this company if you want to be treated respectfully.
