I had a terribly bad moving experience with AllMySons.
When I called All My Sons for the first time, I was told that the minimum
was $500. Then, when I called the company one day before the move,
they said me that the minimum is $622. As if this arrogance
was not enough, the movers insisted very seriously several times
to give them a check of $350 as a tip. I felt like I have to do what they want.
I felt like they would beat me otherwise.
So, I was forced to pay $972 in total for them to move
a single bedroom. I call this as a robbery,
if you don't mind.
I asked the movers to take their shoes off before entering my new home.
They refused to do so, and one of them laughed and said: "If you pay
us extra, maybe we can take our shoes off". One of them used
the restroom of my new home which I have never used up to that time.
And the same arrogant black guy took several bottles off from
my Deer Park water pack. They were very comfortable as if they
are in their home.
I have done all the packing myself. The movers only taped the
top of the boxes. While doing that, one of them taped the
first page of one of my books, and this page was torn later on
when I tried my best to take the tape off as gently as possible.
Before leaving the old home, I put all the food in the
refrigerator in a box. In the new home, after the movers
left, I realized that they have put the laundry detergent
in the same box. So, what I saw in the end was a mixture of
detergent and food.
As if all of those are not sufficient, several hours after the
movers left, I realized that some of my items are missing.
My napkins, my bath tissue, my paper towel, my box of 200 garbage
bags... All of them were missing. I called the company, but
they did not seem to care so much. Then, it costed me $140
to order my missing items from Amazon.com.
I do really hate AllMySons because of
what they have done to me. I hope they will not
survive in this moving business.
