All My Sons

I have moved numerous times. This was the worst of all. These guys told me they are given two hours of On the Job Training and are not even full time employees. That way the company does not have to pay benefits. They are often called in at short notice. Mover turn over is very high in this company. The guys were very personable and one was quite chatty.
My stuff was not wrapped well. Many boxes were not filled completely. Most of the boxes were not taped properly and the bottom fell out of a few boxes. Many boxes were not labeled as to contents.
When the stuff was delivered the destination of the top box became the destination of all the boxes on the dolly. I have kitchen stuff in bedrooms and bathroom stuff in the dining room.
The guys did not have proper tools to use. They did not have tape dispensers so the tape was stretched til it broke which took more time and weakened the tape on the edges of the boxes. They did not have a hex set to disassemble on of my pieces of furniture. Luckily one of the crew had his own.
There was never a representative (Salesperson) to visit and give a quote. When I said one bedroom apartment on the phone they figured it would take two guys three hours. After the crew got here they asked for help and it took three guys 10 hours to get everything done. Consequently it also cost over 3 times the estimate.
So far I have not found anything broken, I also have not found everything yet. The guys were nice to work with, but at least one admitted he is just there til something better comes along. So the sons of this company are step children and not treated very well. I wanted to avoid wearing my family out moving helping me move, and I didn't have much spare time for this move so I hired what I thought were professionals. I did spare family but I really missed the boat with the hope for professionals. I wish my crew well, but I wouldn't wish this company even on my ex.
