I would highly recommend finding another moving company before you use All My Sons in Indianapolis. My initial phone call with Amy was very positive. She explained that I would be charged a 1 hr trip fee plus any additional hours the 3 man crew used to move a piano from residence to another (1 mile between the two residences). She scheduled the move. I asked for a quote via email but never received one. I received two nice email from an owner identified as Micah. The afternoon before the move I called to verify the move was still scheduled. I was told then that I needed to put down a $50 deposit and that the total was still estimated at $319 but may be less if they could move the piano quickly. Less than an hour later I received a phone call from Carlos who identified himself as the owner. He said that I needed to put down a $100 deposit and that he was unable to move the piano tomorrow, and that I would have to reschedule the move. I told him that was not possible as we were moving the piano from my ex's house to my house and that it would irritate my ex to have to reschedule. He then said he would do the move but it would late - around 8 or 9 p.m. He then went on to tell me that it was a one hour trip charge, 3 hour minimum charge with a 3 man crew, 10% fuel charge and 60 cents per pound for insurance which bumped the price up to $392. I explained that was not was I was told. He called me a liar and told me to take it or leave it. I felt I was stuck with this move so I left it as is. The next day, he called again to tell me it was going to be late. I questioned the price and Carlos got all defensive and started jumping all over me and calling me a liar. I hung up the phone and then remembered the emails from Micah. I found the emails from Micah with a phone number. I called that phone number and Carolos answered. He did not know it was me at first and I asked to speak to Micah and he said Micah quit in 2012. I asked why Micah was still sending emails and he got all defensive again.... At the end of this conversation he decided to terminate the move. I told him I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and he told me to go ahead because he has dealt with them a million times. I asked if he was going to refund my deposit and he said yes. However, the charge showed up 2 days later on my credit card and was removed when my credit card company called him to dispute the charge. Save yourself the hassle and find another mover.
