My mother is 75 years old and we were downsizing her to a one level rambler about 5 miles from her previous home. The movers arrived at 0945. There was no dscussion at any time tha the job would not be the $750 she was quoted by Dominic in the office. My mom smelled alcohol on one of them which was her first concern so she kept walking around with them. They told her to stop following them because they were professionals. By the time they completed packing and loading the van they had broken the handles off of her refrigerator trying to get it through the main door and scraped her floors. My mom had one of my brothers available to watch the movers and in the new home he and one of the workers had words after my brother told him about continuing to carelessly handle the furniture and having a rude attitude with my mom. At about 1430 the driver told my mom that the cost of the move would now be $1128. My mother refused to pay any additional money and he began arguing with her and threatened to keep her furniture. My brother and one of them had words again and the mover called Matt in the office who instructed him to call the police . When the police arrived they asked my brother to leave the home which left my mom in the home alone with these men who continued to be rude. My mother caled the home office and spoke with Matt when it was stated that Dominic was not there. I also called the offce at about the same time. I spoke with a a very rude and cold Matt who informed me that they would be holding my mother's furniture unless she agreed to pay the extra $300 plus. My mom paid them $800. They did not put anything together that they broke down. The furniture was placed all over the place. They took off with with some of her very expensive furniture and in the past two days my mom has called them and stated she would pay the extra. Dominic told my mom on both days that they will deliver her furniture whenever they feel like it. To-date they have not delivered the furniture. This has been a very frightening and horrific experience for my mom.This company should be closed down.
