I hired All my sons to move me out of a 1 bdrm apartment into a 2 bedfroom condo not even a quarter mile down the road. The move was on 12/2/10. I was quoted around $400 (seems like thats what they always quote initially) for a 2 man team. The loaders arrived on time but we were delayed getting started by 30 mins due to a van blocking the freight elevator which was not moving companies fault. The loaders were polite but were very slow and seemed to get less and less motivated throughout the move. It took them 3 hours just to get everything moved out of my apartment. I had only 20 boxes and no heavier then average furniture. It then took them 3 hours to get everything moved into my new condo. 6 hours to move a 1bdrm apartment not even a quarter mile away (i dont have alot of stuff either) is ridiculous. Then they added on expenses for their tape and packing materials. Shouldnt that be included in the hourly rate or at least explained during the quote? To top it off I just got a call from the property management at my condo saying they found some light damage ($40) worth in the elevator that was not there before my move. How the movers managed to damage the elvator is beyond me the wall protectors were up. they also damanged one of my dressers. So all in all I was quoted $400, and ended up spending nearly $800 when it was all said and done. THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF DO NOT USE THEM!!!
