HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

PLEASE DON'T EVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!! My boss had me plan our move from our old office to the new office, only 1.2 miles away. They gave a competitive quote and promised a good experience. A table that was only purchased 3 months prior was the last thing to be loaded, and loaded in one piece. After everything was loaded, we drove our cars to the new location, expecting them to meet us there. They show at the new office about 25 minutes later and said they had to stop at Publix. We weren't expecting that, but o.k. They came upstairs and said nothing would be unloaded until we signed this paper and paid first. Our bill was $1000 and the paper stated that if anything was damaged they would only be responsible for $0.60 per pound. We had no choice - we had to sign to get our belongings. One mover dropped a desk drawer right in front of us. And the table that was loaded last was, for some reason, the last thing they brought up. It came to the office in about 10 pieces. We were promised that if we called the Manager, Eli, he would send someone out to see if it could be fixed before discussing replacement. I called Eli and he said he would call me back. Two days later I called him back because I never heard from him. He referred me to their claims department. I sent in the claim form, pictures, receipts and a notarized affidavit. The table was about $300 and the drawer was $125. A few weeks later I received a response from claims stating they were prepared to cut us a check for $50.61. I couldn't believe it! No one was ever sent out to look at the damage to see if it could be repaired. I called Eli's supervisor to express how angry I was, and he basically said - "There is nothing I can do to make that number go higher. You signed off agreeing we would only pay $0.60 per pound for damages." Even though I had no choice to sign, and it was before we knew anything about damages...They didn't care at all. They couldn't care less! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!
