I shopped around to find a moving company that was reasonable. The customer representative I spoke to was very pleasant. We discussed the day I wanted to move and it fit into their schedule. She then quoted me the price. She failed to tell me that there was a fuel charge and a minimum time limit. I found this out when a gentleman called to confirm the pick-up. I went with them even though they were higher because the woman I spoke to was plesant and not short on the phone like the other companies I called. What a mistake. I explained to the man that the move was only about a 1/4 of a mile and we had moved almost everything we could lift and all that was left was the too heavy items. He said that was okay and waive the 4 hour minimum to three. My husband followed the movers to the new house while I stayed at the other house to make sure all was secured. When he went to pay the bill they tried to chare him 4 hours. When he asked about it they said that the minimum was 4 hours even though on their ticket it said three hours. They would not waiver and so my husband paid them. I called immediately when I got to the new house to ask about the different in price. (it was $125 more), The man said he would get back to me and I am still waiting 2 months later. I have called back and put on hold and forgotten. What a sorry way to do business. I have told everyone I know not to use them and in turn they are spreading the same tale to all their friends so no one else will be ripped off.
