I wanted to do this move the right way, with less stress. So I went online and found some movers. The best deal I recieved was from All My Sons Moving and Storage of Indianapolis. I booked these guys an entire week before my scheduled move. When I booked I asked for a morning move, which I was told was confirmed. The DAY before my move, I get a confrimation call....my move was "magically" moved to the afternoon. I told CHRIS that I asked for a morning move and he simply just said....well that's not what we are showing. But to his credit he did say he would try and switch it around....yeah I bet he did.
So, he tells me due to the mix up he will have his movers there around noon. A little late, but ok that's fine, things could still get done in time for dinner with the family from out of town....oh I forgot to mention...it was the day before mothers day. Well 2:30 rolls around before the movers show up. Come to find out when Chris quotes you at Noon he really means 12:00-3:00.
The Movers were great!!! I have no complaints about them. They even told me about a practice this company does. If you have a small move, like a one bedroom apartment (equivalent to my move) and a 4 bedroom house schedules for the same day....the small guy gets bumped out of the way. But like I said the two men that helped, were amazing. Fast, curtious, carefull, everything you could of asked for.
However, the customer service side that I contacted afterwards was not. The dispatcher, Dan or Dave, or Don, one of those three names could not have been more rude when I called to express my utter dissapointment with the company. And since he started to get short with me, I will admit I gave him attitude back. Once this happened "Mom" got on the line. I don't remember her name but evidentually she is Chris's Mom.
Now, while I was talking to her, the dispatcher came across the companies Nextel Direct Connect walkie talkie's and asked "Was Mr. McCord being a D**K. This came across an open communication with my fiance and 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER standing there.
When I heard about this I was furious. I contacted Chris, and he said he needed to hear both sides of the story, and once he did that he would get back to me. Well, he never did. Now I know it has been a couple of weeks since this inccodent, and I bet they think they have gotten away with it, but I am no where near being done with this company.
