I'm really sad to read the other reviews here. This moving company does a lot of business, and I can't be the only satisfied customer! I'm wondering what I did right to have such a positive experience...
All My Sons Moving & Storage is a great company, and I stand by my positive experience as an educated and cautious customer. After some research, a coworker's recommendation, and talking to several people at All My Sons by calling back after the quote, I was satisfied that these movers would be able to handle it. I had a three bedroom home (just under 1500 ft) to move twelve miles on November 1. I was quoted a crew of three men for six hours, which is exactly how long it took. We had All My Sons pack our kitchen and the fragile items in the living room, something I've always taken care of on previous moves. Everything else was more or less packed in the bedrooms.
The movers arrived within the moving time frame, around 1:30. They were very polite ("yes ma'm" and "thank you" left and right) and answered my questions while taking a walk through of what we'd left for them to pack. Two men began bringing in packing materials and moving boxes to pack the kitchen while the other got a head start on wrapping the furniture that didn't need to be disassembled. They worked quickly and used A LOT of packing paper to protect our dishes and glassware.
My husband and I were in and out, supervising in between completing our last-minute cleaning. The movers seemed right at home and talked easily to us, and didn't seem to mind that we were hovering over them here and there.
Loading when carefully and quickly, and they seemed to pay extra attention to our doorways and walls when carrying out our large items. We did a walk through when the house was empty and found nothing more than a shoe scuff on a doorway foot board.
Unloading and reassembly took a little longer, but I didn't care as long as they were being careful. For the first time in my moving history, the movers didn't lose the hardware or small pieces to the furniture! In hindsight I felt like I was obviously paranoid that something horrible would happen, hence all the monitoring and supervision I was doing. I feel silly because everything came out perfectly! This was by far the easiest move I've ever done with the most responsible, less-problematic moving company I've ever dealt with. All My Sons (and my wonderful movers!), you've earned my respect.
