I had called All my Sons over 1 month ago to get a quote on the move. The initial person I spoke with was very pleasant and must have been from the main Corporate office. After that, I called again to confirm about 2 weeks later. A move had been set up for June 27, 2009. Extensive discussions had been held at multiple times about the size of my apartment along with specifics on the furniture. I was given a quote of $125/hr for 3 men. I was told that they would take apart the furniture as needed. I received a call from the Connecticut office about 3 days before the move to confirm. I again expressed that it was a 2 BEDROOM apartment and he asked if I had any pianos or other large furniture and I stated that I had a large bedroom set, futon, couch, dining table, and treadmill. They said that that was fine. It was also requested that we do an early morning move as well given the amount of furniture. I was prepared for a Saturday, June 27, 2009 move, but no one came or called. We called them and were told that they would be there later that afternoon, and no one called. We called repeatedly and then a crew came at 6 pm only to walk in and state that there was more stuff than they had understood there to be. They left and I was told my the Dispatcher that he was told that there was only 2 rooms worth. That discussion felt as if I had to be responsible for their communication. They said that night that a crew would be coming between 8:30-10:30 Sunday, June 28, 2009 morning. No one came or called. We called and were told that they would be there later in the afternoon. They finally arrived at 3:15. I was told that they would be able to take about the furniture but they didn't have the tools for the bed. We went to purchase them while they moved other things. Then they didn't have the tools to take apart the treadmill. The crew physically moving the furniture was pleasant and helpful. My problem is with the management at the Connecticut office who were so rude. When I called on Monday, June 29, 2009 about my experience, I received sarcasm, rudeness, and utter unprofessionalism. When I stated that I had to go purchase tools that they did not have and that I should receive a time refund for time wasted and reimbursement for the tools, I was given a harsh remark of "send the reciept with the tools". It was blamed on me that I did not tell them that the treadmill needed to be deconstructed and that Allen tools are not standard tools for them necessarily. I tried to express how disruptful it was that they did not do the move on the day they stated they would, but the person at the Connecticut office implied nearly that it was my fault. Also, it was blamed on me that I didn't give them my email address for a confirmation, when I did, explicitly during my first conversation. All in all, this has been a horrible experience. The Connecticut office has 3 individuals in charge, my conversations were with Bob who I found to be very rude and unprofessional. Additionally, my headboard and hardwood floors were scratched upon delivery. I do not know how they can truly run a business like this...one of the worst experiences with any business ever. Do not ever use the Connecticut based ALL MY SONS
