Holy cow, what a horrible experience. I was quoted $2090 over the phone. I told them everything I had and desribed many of the large items. They gave me a three day window. I asked if they could try to make it the last day. They said no, it absolutely had to be the first day. Well, the day they were supposed to be there, they cancelled and rescheduled for the next morning. Then they called and rescheduled for 4pm that day. They arrived at 8pm. Killed my entire day. They walked into the house and seemed amazed to see all of my huge items, like a fridge and washer and dryer. Oh my. They knew I was moving those things. Well, he decided he needed to do a quick estimate. My cost was going from $2090 to $5966. Wtf. They were willing to come all the way down to $5100. I told the to get back in their truck and go back to Maryland. Apparently a 28 hour drive for them. I called Pods and got a great rate. Sure I have to load it myself but oh well.
